Hand Stitch Patches for Down and Insulated Garments

Master the basic skills to sew a professional patch on your down or insulated garment.

This beginner-friendly class will teach you the essential hand-stitching techniques needed to fix rips and tears in down and insulated jackets, gilets, and other garments —no sewing machine required. Perfect for anyone wanting to extend the life of their warm layers with simple, effective patches.

What you’ll Learn:

  • What’s different about down and insulated garments

  • How to choose the right thread, needle, and technique for down-proof and technical fabrics

  • How to stitch a beautiful patch on your garment

Workshop Includes:

  • 2 hour interactive session

  • Live demos

  • Top spec material for your patch

  • All other materials provided (optional: bring your own item to repair or discuss)

You’ll leave with practical repair skills and the knowledge to extend the life of your wardrobe—one stitch at a time.

No sewing experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm, a down or insulated garment, and a love for well-worn clothes. This class has a maximum of 7 attendees, with one instructor. Please let us know if you have any specific learning requirements

  • This course will be held on Tuesday, the 21st of April.

    It will start at 17:15 and finish at 19:15.

  • If, for any reason, you either need to cancel your booking, please let us know by email (info@snowdoniagearrepair.co.uk) at the earliest possible time. 

    If the cancellation is over 7 days before the start date of the course we will provide a full refund.

    If the cancellation is 7 days or less before the start date of the course, you will not receive a refund unless we are able to fill the space.
