Grangers Wash + Repel Down 2 in 1

£12.50

When the time comes to wash your down items, try this 2-in-1 formulation which offers powerful cleaning and durable repellency whilst saving water, energy and time.

Ideal for:

  • Down

  • Synthetic down

How to use:

  • Step 1: Clean your machine by running one or two cycles with no detergent in, while doing so check your item has no obvious damage, if it does repair before washing.

  • Step 2: Zip up all zips and loosen any tight draw chords (hood, waist, cuffs), and check your pockets!

  • Step 3: Place item in washing machine and make sure to follow the instructions on the packet & garment labels to avoid risking damage.

  • Step 4: Handle with care when removing item from the washing machine as it will be heavy with water and the weight can rip internal components.

  • Step 5: Next, you’ll want to put it in the tumble dryer immediately on a mid to low heat setting. Then, every 20-30 minutes during the drying process, remove the down jacket from the dryer and give it a gentle shake and pat the baffles (*tip: use tennis balls to speed up drying and help the feather re-loft)

  • Step 6: When your jacket feels puffy again, it’s time to take it out. Hang it up at home and let it air out for another couple of days before you take it on its next adventure.

Specifications & More Detail:

Unlike waterproof items, down items do not need washing as frequently as washing can impact the down’s loft and insulation. Once or twice a year is fine, or at the end of a season. It is still important to wash them however, as dirt and oils can trap moisture which in turn reduces the loft and can sometimes lead to mold or bacterial growth.

  • 100% Recycled bottle.

  • blue sign approved.

  • PFC-free.
